Frequently asked questions
How do I add an M3U playlist?
Open the app and tap Add playlist, then choose the
M3U method. Paste your M3U link into the field and tap
Save. The playlist is fetched and its channels are grouped
automatically.
How do I use Xtream Codes?
Tap Add playlist and pick Xtream Codes.
Enter the
server URL, username and
password supplied by your provider, then tap Save.
Live, movies and series sections are detected automatically.
How do I use Quick Setup?
Typing a long URL with a TV remote is painful, so the app can show a QR code.
Open octopusplayer.com/quick-setup on your phone,
enter your playlist details and you receive a 4-digit activation code.
Type that short code into the app under Quick Setup Code and the
playlist is transferred. Codes are single-use and expire after 10 minutes.
How do I run a Speed Test?
The app has a speed test under Settings that measures ping,
jitter and download throughput against our servers. The
test on this page uses the same international endpoint
and adds a nearest-edge comparison, so you can see whether international routing
is limiting IPTV before installing anything.
Does Octopus Player support Android TV?
Yes. There is a dedicated Android TV layout with full D-pad remote navigation,
a focus-optimised grid and a TV-friendly player. The same build also runs on
Android phones and tablets, and a separate version is available for Windows.

The content served at that URL is a small set of public sample videos provided only for Google Play review purposes. It requires no authentication, contains no real customer or IPTV provider data, and does not expire. Octopus Player itself does not host or provide any TV channels or media content.
